Instead , your programs can simply MFC will do the rest. That ‘ s the From this point, alternative ways are shown using owner drawn controls and deriving your own CWnd based control to improve the control. This is then extended into how to write ActiveX controls. For this reason, there are more pages in the book devoted to MFC programming than to Windows Forms programming. However , because AppWizard does so much of the work for you , you You will be able to extend and customize the knowledge in this book , giving you a smooth path to great programming.
If you try to do this without using MFC , you need to create a mechanism that does basically what MFC already provides. Finally , MFC is currently the most popular class library for Windows programming.
It would be unacceptable to produce As I said previously, there’s nothing magical about MFC. I tried several readers but didn’t get a usable table of contents. Since the table of contents has no page numbers, I am forced to use the search function to find anything such as searching for “Chapter 4” and going through the places that is mentioned. To put it bluntly, this really sucks. The paperback version is virtually worthless given this lack of usable TOC or index of any kind.
Also, why is the code in the PDFs not able to be cut and pasted. I guess the code in the example solutions makes up for that, but still, I can’t see it hurting to allow cut and paste. The author does note that this package is intended to be like a classroom guide for learning MFC programming, not a reference manual, and I’ll give it a better mark for this.
The example projects are pretty comprehensive, if a bit disjointed. Even with my complaints, this is a pretty good bargain. I would really love to leave this book a better review. It looks like it is jammed packed with information, but the Table of contents is minimal, and it has absolutely no index I can find.
This makes it very difficult to find the information you are looking for. See all reviews. Your recently viewed items and featured recommendations.
